Do you want to:
Recognise observable signs of ADHD and how to distinguish this from other difficulties and learn how to adapt classroom practice to support students with ADHD.
See the world through the eyes of students with vision impairment and identify best practice for supporting them.
Explore concepts and strategies to support student mental health and wellbeing, including targeted supports for specific students.
Understand the concept of dyslexia; the challenges faced by these students and how teachers and schools can better support their learning needs.
Then why not suggest to your colleagues that they undertake one of these OLT courses.
- Understanding Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
- Vision Impairment
- Supporting Student Wellbeing and Mental Health
- Dyslexia and Significant Difficulties in Reading
OLT courses are an easy way for school staff to access professional knowledge and resources around many disabilities. Staff study the course online at their own pace and attend 3 tutor led sessions supported by a trained tutor. School based cohorts can be negotiated, or participants can join open cohorts found on ESS.
These courses are all free for all Catholic Education staff.
