Parents/Carers
We offer two courses specifically for parents in autism and ADHD, and these provide an excellent starting point for understanding your child's disability and needs. Based on accepted best practice our courses provide a window into the concerns of parents and how they deal with situations that arise in everyday life.
You will:
- Discover how we learn and process information so you can share a common language with schools and support your child at home
- Be informed about your right to timely information and support
- Reach decisions with those involved with your child on how best to support your child and maximise their developmental progress
- Hear real accounts of the issues that concern parents the most and how they look after themselves and their families
I really enjoyed the autism for parent’s course, for insight into the lives of the children and their families. I really liked how you get to listen to the views of parents, as they discuss what life is like for them. l would highly recommend this course to both teachers and parents.
